First Friday Female Founder Feature: Katherin Burnette
This month’s First Friday Female Founder post features Katherin Burnette, President and CEO of Triangle Real Estate Group. During this Virgo season, I’d be remiss to not mention that Katherin is a quintessential example of all that makes my fellow Virgo sisters so amazing, but her awesomeness doesn’t stop there… I am so appreciative and in awe of Katherin’s passion for her community, attention to detail, commitment to a job well-done and heart for supporting those in her squad, all of which is particularly important amidst the wild ride that real estate is taking right now. Plus, Katherin is always up for an exciting Carolina Hurricanes game, which is a definite positive for me as a sports fanatic. I’m so excited to share Katherin’s wonderfulness with you. Enjoy this peek inside the mind and heart of this absolute rock star!
Katherin Burnette grew up in North Carolina and has been involved in the real estate industry since she was 17. She received her NC Real Estate Salesman's license by the age of 19, then her NC Notary Public certification, followed by her NC Real Estate Broker's license by the age of 21. At that time, she was one of the youngest individuals to have ever received their full broker certification in the State of NC. She worked for and managed several small real estate companies in Coastal NC before moving to Raleigh in 2002.
Starting in 2002, she worked with one of the top Raleigh real estate firms for 11 years and managed the sales team, office administration, online and offline marketing campaigns and property management division in our office in North Raleigh. She found joy in helping her team members improve their sales each year, and her team was ranked in the top 5 Residential Real Estate Teams by Triangle Business Journal for many years.
In 2013, she opened Triangle Real Estate Group, a real estate company that specializes in aggressive online and offline marketing campaigns which individually focuses on the needs of our clients. Her highly experienced agents have been specifically chosen to represent our clients and provide personalized service along with a specialized advertising campaign for each client.

How do you feel about work/life efficiency or integration in your life, including any tips or challenges for managing the personal and professional commitments in your life?
Due to the nature of my business, especially with houses for sale in such demand, scheduling white space has helped me in many ways since my business and personal life can change fairly often due to the needs of clients.

If you could have lunch with anyone (living or deceased), who would it be and why?
I would love to have lunch with my Grandfather. He was born in Brooklyn to a recently immigrated family from Norway. He served in the Navy, was a successful entrepreneur, wrote a published book, attended and graduated college in his 50’s and then became a Junior High Teacher in Florida. He eventually retired in Black Mountain, NC, and even though he was on the quiet side, he would always give great advice and was generous in his service to others. I cherished my time with him, and he made an impact on my life.
