Each month, I share some “Final Friday’s Fab Finds” of what I’m using, loving and finding can boost my productivity while bringing comfort and sanity amidst the hectivity of life. Here are my Final Friday’s Fab Finds for April 2021.
Podcasts - I love listening to podcasts while I’m driving or cleaning, and I have two that I’m eager to highlight for you... Although 75% of podcasts don't survive their first year, I'm excited to share that the Successful Nonprofits® Podcast recently celebrated its 200th episode. I'm honored to have been featured amongst Dolph Goldenburg's guests, and you can listen to my conversation with Dolph by visiting https://successfulnonprofits.com/portfolio/emily-parks/, featuring tips to bring new levels of meaningful organization into your life. Similarly, I've been diving into a brand-new podcast by my dear friend Mary Michele Nidiffer called the "Wine, Women and Style” podcast, where she shares powerful content for women ready to live their most beautiful lives. Mary Michele is inspiring, empowering and energizing, providing tips to be implemented immediately for putting your best foot forward as well as feeling like your most gorgeous, authentic self.
Self-care - Y’all, I cannot emphasize enough that self-care really is productive. We all have goals for work, home and community that can override what time we commit to caring for our own minds, bodies and spirits, but there’s deep truth in the saying that “You can’t pour from an empty cup”, making it vital to take time to fuel yourself. I've been incorporating a little self care into the everyday. A Warmies neck wrap heated in the microwave pairs nicely with Cucumber Hydrogel Under-Eye Pads and a Flourish Signature Scent Candle. Plus, I feel so luxurious when showering with exfoliating sugar cubes.
Mugs - Everyone needs a good collection of some sort that brings joy, and mine happens to be one of coffee and tea mugs. A girl’s gotta stay hydrated, caffeinated and filled with Daily Flo Tea, right?!? It puts such a huge smile on my face to pair my choice of beverage with the perfect mug to match or uplift my mood, like something colorful or with my favorite team or sporting a great quote. My current rotation includes a dishwasher safe tumbler from May Designs that’s personalized with a saying about teamwork, a stainless steel travel mug featuring Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s quote that “Women belong in all places where decisions are being made”, a mug featuring a Wake Forest University flag by T Cabells Too, a Quotables’ mug encouraging me to “Do More of What Makes You Happy” and a Rae Dunn mug that features my title of AUNT prominently on the side.
