Have You Cast Your Vote?
Have you completed your civic duty yet? If you’ve not yet, it’s not too late to get to the polls here in North Carolina… Please take time to 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱 for what matters to you. Our polls are open until 7:30pm, and, if you’re in line by then, you must be allowed to vote.
Don’t forget to take your ID, but, if you don’t have an ID, you can request a provisional ballot.
Voting is your voice in the choices presented to our community, truly democracy in action and a responsibility as much as a right, but time is running out to cast your 2024 vote.
I vote for the “more perfect union” about which our forefathers dreamed and that we continually strive to more fully fulfill.
I vote for public education that best prepares future workforces.
I vote for folks’ physical health alongside their fiscal well-being.
I vote for infrastructure that supports everyone’s needs.
I vote so that Mother Earth can remain for many years to come.
I vote to end bigotry, bias and gerrymandering.
I vote for those who engage in bipartisan efforts toward more effective governing.
I vote for diversity that will enable better decisions and empower all of us to achieve our dreams.
I vote for us to unite toward a future that’s better than ever, not revisit again that which we need to have progressed beyond.
I vote because love is love, and Jesus said to love one another.
I vote in memory of Susan B. Anthony, John Lewis and Ruth Bader Ginsburg for the many ways in which they made it possible for me to be able to vote today.
