Celebrating Women to KNOW this International Women's Day

It’s a privilege to live each day surrounded by a squad of powerhouse women who celebrate the woman I am, push me to be better, join me in my efforts to improve the world around me, bring me such incredible joy and help me laugh until I cry. This International Women’s Day and every other day, I’m so honored to be in community with all these amazing rockstars!

Women to KNOW in North Carolina

I'm a little late sharing this, but there's likely no better time than International Women's Day to share how I was  honored to be included amongst the “Women to KNOW in North Carolina” list for 2023... Y’all, I am in great company, and you can read all about everyone on the list at https://publishing.theknowwomen.com/2023-northcarolina/. Thank you, Myra Ray and Sarah Benken Foushee, for all your hard work on this beautiful publication!

In my interview on pages 40-41, I was delighted to share about the best advice I’ve received, how I’m supporting the next generation of female leaders, what women’s empowerment means to me and how my continued success has been influenced by my high school English teacher, Rob Slater, as well as then head coach for Wake Forest Men’s Soccer’s program, Jay Vidovich, including how Slater “taught me it could be cool to be nerdy, it’s vital to learn something new each day and proper grammar matters.” It truly takes a village, and I’m grateful for my entire squad.

For this International Women’s Day, consider how you can join the celebration of women’s social, economic, cultural and political achievements. What will you do to mark the contributions of women around you?
